The University of Patras is the third largest University in Greece in terms of students, faculty members, administrative personnel, number of departments and degrees awarded. The campus of the University of Patras hosts about 40,000 employees and under- and post-graduate students. It includes 35 Departments covering a wide range of disciplines (Natural Sciences, Engineering, Health Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Economics and Business, etc.), 161 laboratories and 17 fully equipped clinics. In the frame of the project PlasmaIgnite, the University of Patras will design, fully develop and characterize the plasma-based surgical platform (hardware and software) for the application of optimised and real-time adaptable treatment of cancer.
